Dr Tickle offers the following services:
Consultation by appointment only
Appointments are available five days a week, often on the same day and usually with just a few days notice.
General Medicine
Most illness and wellness issues can be assessed and a treatment plan shared.
Health Screening/Periodic Medicals*
Annual screening is recommended for patients over 40 years old. Patients less than 40 are recommended health screening every 2 years.
Specialist Referrals
The practice has rapid access to a wide range of orthodox and complementary specialists
Well woman Service
A full spectrum of women’s health concerns, from period problems and pregnancy planning through to menopausal concerns and bone densitometry, all aspects of health care unique to women are attended to.
Sexual Health Screening and Contraceptive Advice
A comprehensive sexual health screen can be arranged at anytime and contraceptive options can be discussed although Dr Tickle does not fit coils or contraceptive implants.
Cervical Cancer Vaccination
Recommended for women who are not yet sexually active. For more information please click here.Travel Health Planning and Immunisations
Up to date advice on all aspects of travel related health. All travel vaccinations except Yellow Fever are available at the surgery.
* The medical includes a full medical history and lifestyle assessment as well as a thorough physical examination. After the age of 40 an ECG is included. All women will be offered a cervical smear and if over 45 a mammogram. All men over 45 will be offered a prostate examination and blood test with full counselling. Standard blood testing to include full blood count, cholesterol, kidney, liver and thyroid function are also offered as standard.

Dr Tickle charges for her time at £250/hour so the price for Home visits, telephone calls, email contact and health related administration will vary accordingly.
Appointments which are booked but not attended will be charged at 50% of the fee.
Additional charges are due for any investigations required.
